Speed/Feed controls are via the 3 buttons on the far right (4th button is Power). YES@!! Certainly takes getting used to. Backstitch is accessed via an orange lever UP & about 1/2 way to the needle. ● Beware this info may be off as, #1. I am a Guy. As in Male, (and Hetero). & #2. It is ALL from Memory! I was giving 4001 electronic around 3 years ago. After which I researched, lubed, figured out its operation from almost NO available information, and even had to custom modify a couple of other brand bobbins as the machine came with none and they are sort of rare. Got it working fairly well with the modified bobbins before I managed to track down a few original units. I tinkered with it for about 6 months and ride around the time I was about to modify a Singer Triple Table to accept this Brother model, my wife came down with a little bout of Cancer. Kinda had to hang up the projects for an indeterminate time. I just Refamiliatized myself with where I left off a few days ago. ☆And I pray I'm able to locate a pedal, or at least a knee bar. Cuz this "all hands on deck" design is insanity!Dannerpainthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05697811102507928565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-659210899076492988.post-20847241669948054372022-03-07T09:58:16.586-06:002022-03-07T09:58:16.586-06:00Spotted you on a mutual friends blog and thought I...Spotted you on a mutual friends blog and thought I'd pop in for a visit. I'm also the contact person for one of my quilt guilds, and people sometimes contact me to get rid of sewing stuff from a loved one who has passed on. I like the White sergers for the most part but think the Elna's, in particular the Pro 5 DC, are too complex as a first serger. As noted in the above comments, I like the Bernette sergers and they can still be bought for a reasonable price.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07011857577709241535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-659210899076492988.post-44232710596863997042021-06-26T11:13:13.034-05:002021-06-26T11:13:13.034-05:00I am looking for a serger. It has not allowed me to sew clothing, which is my primary use. I could purchase a White Superlock 2000 ats or an Elna Pro 5DC would you recommend either? Or something else?
